Beginning Guitar
Guitarist assignment
Objective: Select a famous guitarist whose music you enjoy. Analyze their playing style to ascertain what it is about it that you enjoy. Also, discover how that guitarist was influenced by other, or how they influenced later guitarists. This will show how that guitarist fit in with the timeline of guitar.

C1: Creating
Students will conceive, develop and interpret new artistic ideas and work.
Interpret, organize and develop artistic ideas and work
Refine and complete artistic work
C3 - Responding
Students will understand and evaluate how the arts convey meaning.
*Perceive and analyze artistic work
Interpret intent and meaning in artistic work.
C4 - Connecting
Students will relate artistic ideas and work with personal meaning and external context.
*Synthesize and relate knowledge and personal experiences to make art.
*Relate artistic ideas and works with societal, cultural, and historical context to deepen understanding
Students will choose how to convey their information. Possible methods include, but are not limited to; Essay, persuasive paper, oral presentation, artistic collage with text or verbal explanation, video presentation with explanation.
Students have the opportunity to show evidence for a variety of indicators, and will not be penalized for not meeting certain indicators, but, if no evidence is shown for a specific indicator/s, no evidence will be counted toward mastery of that indicator. The bolded Indicators are required, and will be graded.
